Work on bridges, staging, and trail connections has progressed across the corridor, driven in part by national TCT initiatives and local partnerships. Use this page to feature current builds and recent completions, with links to municipal pages below.
FUNDING SUPPORT
Funding support to build the trail and trail infrastructure, and for promotion and administration have come from the following project partners: County of Athabasca,Town of Athabasca,Sturgeon County, Westlock County. City of Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta TrailNet Society, Athabasca Recreational Trails Association and Alberta Tourism Parks & Recreation. We have also received generous support to fund specific initiatives and projects along the trail: Redwater Bridge 246: Government of Canada, Government of Alberta, Westlock County, TransCanada Trail and Alberta TrailNet. Fort Saskatchewan Bridge engineering study: Trans Canada Trail with project direction and support from the City of Fort Saskatchewan and Alberta TrailNet
